Class fees

Class fees are billed monthly. Except for December and June, the price for each month is the same regardless of the number of class days. We do not pro-rate class fees for missed classes. It may be possible to attend another class session if you miss a class. Ask your instructor for more information.

If multiple family members participate in our programs, monthly class fees are eligible for a family discount. We are open for all school breaks; if you are going on vacation for a school break, ask us about our school break discount.

Class fees are due by the 10th of the month. Past due accounts will incur a $10 late fee. Students who are more than a month behind in payment will not be allowed to participate in class.

If you need to take a break from fencing for a while, please let us know when you plan to resume so we can adjust your membership and billing appropriately.

Membership fees

Fencers who wish to participate in open fencing sessions and are not enrolled in a class must pay a monthly membership fee. Membership fees received after the 10th of the month will incur a $10 late fee. If you join Rain City Fencing Center in the last week of a month, you may pay one month’s membership fee to fence through the end of the next full month. We do not otherwise pro-rate membership fees. Fencers with past due balances will not be allowed to participate in open fencing.

Open fencing

Participation in open fencing practices is included in class and membership fees. Fencers should use their own electric gear if they have it. Fencers who wish to use club electric gear during open fencing may rent it for an additional $35/month.

Lessons

Lessons must be paid in advance unless automatic billing has been set up. Lessons are typically purchased in blocks of four or eight. Lesson fees are paid to RCFC, not to the instructor.

Equipment and team warm-ups

You can rent electric equipment (club gear) for open fencing or for tournaments at RCFC. Payment must be received before borrowing the gear. If you order team warm-ups you will be able to pay GearUP Sports directly when you place the order.

Payment methods

Rain City Fencing Center accepts cash, checks, and major credit and debit cards. Our online membership system, Zen Planner, accepts credit card and automatic bank withdrawal (ACH) payments for all types of bills. Memberships and lessons can be set to automatic payment as needed or billed on a monthly basis. Ask at the front desk for more details.

There is a $25 fee for all returned checks.

Any charges past due 30 days or more will be assessed a 1.5% late fee per month.
